Barbara Sussberg

Barbara Sussberg is an abstract oil painter who works from her studios in Charleston South Carolina and Spruce Head Maine. She mixes her own colors and paints intuitively in layers, using a self taught process with a palette knife and rags. 

These luminous and highly textured paintings are inspired by water, conveying a sense of nature and tranquility.

Her first career as The VP/Creative Director for an interior textiles company has had a big influence on her work which has been exhibited in galleries on the East Coast and can be found in many private collections.

This is the first time Barbara’s paintings have been available in Nashville.
